These photos will give you a brief look at the luxurious accommodations at the Napo Wildlife Center in Ecuador. Missing in these photos, but currently at the lodge, are bathroom mirrors, bedside reading lights, and custom-made, very effective mosquito nets.
In each room are:
- one king-sized bed and one twin bed
- one multi-speed ceiling fan
- two overhead lights in main room, one overhead and one mirror light in bathroom,
and one light on porch
- bedside reading lights
- hot water for sink and shower
- private porch with lake view
- very large 20' by 23' room size
General characteristics:
- 24-hour electricity from silent generators supplemented by solar power system
- reverse osmosis water filtration system in the kitchen (very safe)
- bar with cold beer, soft drinks, and basic liquor selection
- environmentally sustainable sewage system, best on the Napo and probably best in the Amazon
- large common area and separate bar within dining structure
- tower adjacent to dining structure
- separate gender bathrooms in dining hall (two toilets in each, four total, to facilitate early departures)
- best fauna attractions on the Napo
