Margaret Anderson (Tour Operations Manager) brings to VENT over 17 years experience in the travel and tourism profession. Her career in the industry began in 1994 in the specialty leisure market, where she designed custom itineraries for independent and group travel throughout Mexico and Central America. Erik Lindqvist (Tour Operations Manager) is a graduate of Pepperdine University who joined VENT in 1997. A travel veteran, Erik has over 20 years experience in the industry including stints in operations management, training, and marketing. He enjoys bicycling, outdoor activities, and spending time with his wife Lisa, stepson Brad, and ten-year-old son Karl.

Barry Lyon's passion for the outdoors and birding has its roots in his childhood where he grew up in southern California. Through his early years his developing interest in the study and observation of nature was furthered by summertime camping trips to southern Arizona and road trips with his family throughout the American West. Gordon Maxim-Kelley (Controller) joined VENT in 1992. He is a native Austinite and has a Liberal Arts degree in accounting from the University of Texas at Austin. He and his wife, Marlene, live just west of Austin, out in the beautiful Hill Country. An avid disc golfer, Gordon often spends weekends in different parts of Texas competing in tournaments. He is also very involved in organizing and managing these events, and is president of the local disc golf club.
René Shields (Tour Operations Assistant) has worked in the recreational travel industry for most of her professional life. She is a native Texan with a business degree from the University of Texas at Austin. With her husband Gary, she enjoys foreign and domestic travel, bicycling around Austin and the Texas Hill Country, and socializing with other "cavers" at the UT Grotto meetings.
Patrick Swaggerty (Tour Operations Assistant) joined the VENT staff in September 2004. He began his career in 1984 organizing and leading adventure tours throughout Colorado for a family-based sports company. Warmer climates led him back to the island of Maui, Hawaii where he describes his lifestyle there as warm and easy.
