David Hoddinott has extensive experience guiding birding and general eco-tours in Africa, Asia, Madagascar, and South America. Prior to joining Rockjumper Birding Tours, he worked as the resident ornithologist at birding lodges in South Africa, Botswana, and Ecuador, including an 18-month stint at the world-famous Sacha Lodge. Known in birding circles for his endless energy and boundless birding enthusiasm, David is the perfect guide for trips in Africa, Asia, and Madagascar. His IT background has also been put to good use in the creation of the new Rockjumper web site. David is also a committee member of his local branch of BirdLife.
