Thede Tobish

Thede Tobish graduated from the University of Alaska Fairbanks, and has birded, traveled, performed research, and led bird tours throughout Alaska since 1973. He spent several summers at field camps in the western Aleutians, and worked with ATTOUR at Attu from its beginning in 1979. When not working for the Municipality as Anchorage's senior environmental planner, Thede continues to make birding excursions to his favorite Alaska pioneer outposts, including Hyder and Middleton Island. Thede has been the Alaska Regional Editor for North American Birds since the late 1980s.
